Cerro Verde

(Freeport Mc Moran)

The largest copper mine in Peru.

CBT was in charge of the expansion of the primary sulfur plant in 2006.

CBT carried out the installation and splices of all the belts of this project, which include a ST 3500 in 1800 mm with an incline angle close to 14°.

For this CBT used Peruvian labor with Chilean supervision and its CBT Belt Clamping System equipment.

CBT supplied all the pulleys for this project together with the Canadian manufacturer RAS.

CBT carries out all the conveyor belt maintenance in this area, from its facilities in Arequipa.

CBT takes part in the predictive maintenance of this mine using the CBT Belt C.A.T. Scan in all steel cable conveyor belts.
